Staff Accountant

**Job Summary** We are seeking a highly detail-oriented, self-motivated Staff Accountant to join our accounting team in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional who can work independently, take ownership of assigned responsibilities, and consistently produce accurate, reliable financial information. This role will play an important part in general ledger accounting, month-end close, account reconciliations, inventory accounting and financial reporting. Strong working knowledge of NetSuite ERP is essential, as the successful candidate will use the system to manage accounting transactions, research discrepancies, perform reconciliations, and support reporting requirements. **Key Responsibilities** * General Ledger and Financial Reporting * NetSuite ERP * Inventory and Manufacturing Accounting * Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Other duties **Skills** * **Exceptional attention to detail:** Consistently accurate work, thorough review of transactions, and the ability to identify errors and inconsistencies before they affect financial reporting. * **Ability to work independently:** Takes ownership of responsibilities, prioritizes workload, meets deadlines, and completes assignments with minimal supervision. * **Strong analytical skills**: Investigates variances, reconciles differences, and develops practical solutions rather than simply identifying problems. * **Accountability and follow-through:** Tracks outstanding items, follows issues through resolution, and communicates potential problems promptly. * **Organization and time management:** Manages multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting close deadlines. * **Proactive mindset**: Identifies opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and prevent recurring errors. * **Effective communication**: Works collaboratively with accounting colleagues and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and maintain accurate financial information. **Qualifications and Experience** * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. * 3+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred. * Strong hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP required. * Solid understanding of GAAP, general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations. * Manufacturing, inventory, or cost accounting experience strongly preferred. * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookup formulas, and data analysis.
