Director of Nursing

This is part\-time Hybrid Director of Nursing role based in Totowa NJ. The Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care in home settings, including assessing patient conditions, monitoring vital signs, administering medications and treatments, and documenting clinical observations. The role involves developing and updating individualized care plans, coordinating with physicians and therapists, and educating patients and families on disease management, medications, and home safety. The nurse will perform wound care and other skilled nursing procedures, respond to changes in patient status, and ensure adherence to infection control and regulatory standards. The position also includes participating in case conferences, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and maintaining clear, timely communication with the care team. **Qualifications** * Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey and current BLS/CPR certification. * Demonstrated clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills in a home care or related healthcare setting. * Strong patient education, communication, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. * Ability to manage time, prioritize visits, and work independently in varied home environments while maintaining professional boundaries. * Experience with electronic health records (EHR) or digital documentation systems and basic computer proficiency. * Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel within NJ. * Prior home health, hospice, or community nursing experience preferred; BSN or equivalent education is a plus. * Commitment to cultural sensitivity, ethical practice, and continuous professional development.
