Permanent, Part-Time Substitute Teacher

Job Description: Entheos Academy is a K\-8 Service Learning charter school with campuses located in Kearns and Magna, Utah. This posting is for our **MAGNA** site. Entheos Academy is seeking a permanent, part\-time, roaming substitute teacher. The sub will report to Entheos on a fixed daily schedule, and will be assigned to any of our K\-8 classrooms that need a sub that day. This is a fantastic position for an individual who likes variety, or is trying to determine which grade/subject they enjoy the most! Job duties include: * Following sub plans left by the teacher/para. * Being timely and reliable. * Maintaining strong classroom management. * Maintaining a professional appearance. * Upholding our school values. Job Qualifications: * Must have at least a high school diploma, and be able to pass a state sanctioned paraprofessional assessment once hired. * Strong reading, writing, and speaking skills. * Basic tech skills. * Speaking Spanish as an additional language is not required, but considered a plus. Essential Functions: * Regular, reliable, and on\-time attendance. * Ability to lift 25 lbs. * Sit, stand, walk, and kneel for required periods of time. * Ability to endure climate conditions such as heat, cold, wind, rain, snow. * Ability to move quickly/run in case of student emergencies. * Communicate clearly in spoken and written English. * Able to see and hear adequately to perform job description. * Reach with hands and arms and use hands and fingers to handle objects and operate tools, computers, and/or controls. * Proficient tech skills including use of Google and Office suite. Other Requirements: * Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff. * Ability to follow directions and learn new tasks quickly. * Have a love for kids, lots of patience, and a very positive attitude.
