Data Engineer

Job Description Bonaire Software Solutions is seeking a skilled and detail\-oriented **Data Engineer** to help design, develop, and maintain reliable data systems and pipelines. This role involves working with data sources, databases, ETL processes, data quality, and analytics infrastructure while collaborating with software, business, and technology teams. The ideal candidate has strong technical and analytical skills and is comfortable working with large datasets and evolving business requirements. Key Responsibilities * Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data workflows. * Build and support ETL and ELT processes for collecting and transforming data. * Integrate data from databases, applications, APIs, and other sources. * Develop and maintain data models, databases, and data\-processing solutions. * Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot data quality or processing issues. * Perform data validation and help ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability. * Optimize data processes and improve system performance where appropriate. * Collaborate with software engineers, analysts, project teams, and business stakeholders. * Translate business and technical requirements into practical data solutions. * Maintain documentation for data pipelines, processes, systems, and technical workflows. * Support data migration, integration, and system implementation activities. * Assist with developing reporting and analytics\-ready data structures. * Follow established security, privacy, and data\-management practices. * Stay informed about relevant data engineering tools, technologies, and best practices. Qualifications * Previous data engineering, software engineering, database, or related technical experience is helpful. * Strong understanding of databases, SQL, data structures, and data\-processing concepts. * Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines. * Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar technologies. * Experience with relational databases and data modeling. * Familiarity with cloud platforms, data warehouses, APIs, or distributed data systems is helpful. * Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem\-solving skills. * Good communication and teamwork abilities. * Strong attention to detail and data quality. * Ability to manage multiple technical tasks and project priorities. * Willingness to learn new data technologies and development tools.
