Site Civil Engineer

**Site Civil Engineer (7-10 Years)** Saratoga Associates is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced full-time Site Civil Engineer. Candidates should have 7-10 years of professional experience in Site Engineering. This position will support all key areas of our firm’s architecture and landscape architecture services, with a primary focus on site design and stormwater management for parks, trails, waterfronts, residences, site development, and streetscapes. Working alongside a Professional Engineer and Registered Landscape Architects, this role requires executing complex projects in a highly collaborative, team-based environment. **Responsibilites:** ● Coordinate with a multi-disciplinary design team (design consultants, contractors, and subcontractors), including day-to-day communication ● Report to Project Manager and Principal-in-Charge to support the completion of multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines ● Coordinate with clients (private and public) and assist in general administration ● Engage in site design projects from design through close-out, integrating civil engineering, stormwater design, geotechnical report review in collaboration with landscape architecture and architecture staff. ● Produce site civil plans, design calculations, technical specifications, construction details, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans and calculations, cost estimates, and other technical documents. Elements may include stormwater, hardscape, water, and wastewater/septic design, as well as incidental structural design if skillsets allow. ● Support bidding processes and provide construction administration services (observation of work, field reports, review of submittals, etc) as required to ensure work performed by contractors complies with contract documents. ● Travel to project sites as needed (primarily within New York State), occasionally with some overnights **Key Qualifications and Experience:** ● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Structural Engineering, or a related field, from an accredited school. While the primary focus is anticipated to be on site and civil tasks, incidental structural knowledge would be an asset. ● Professional Engineer (PE) Certification in New York State or equivalent ● Proficiency in grading, drainage, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and applicable local and state permit applications. Knowledge of applicable codes and design standards. ● Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and/or Revit, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat and/or Bluebeam.
