Kitchen Manager

**Job Summary** You will be leading daily kitchen operations and maintaining the Edith's brand as well as having the space to be creative . We make small batches of soups and meals as well as fullfilling catering orders. Looking for someone who is dependable, self motivated and who has their own transportation. We occasionally have events to cater which may require you to be on-site. We are excited to offer this position as our current kitchen manger is retiring. Serve Safe Certificate is required but can be achieved after hire. **Responsibilities** * Manage kitchen operations, shift coverage, food preparation, cooking, and service in a small kitchen environment. * Maintain a sanitary and organized environment. * Maintain food handling and food safety practices, inventory control, and quality standards. * Monitor budgets, basic math, and profit and loss (P&L) information to support sound operational decisions. **Experience** * Required: Kitchen or food service experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities; knowledge of cooking, food preparation, and food safety. * Familiarity with restaurant, kitchen, food service, or hospitality management; team management and staff training. * Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling. * Assistant manager experience, culinary experience, budgeting, inventory control, and food production knowledge are valuable. * Passion for culinary arts Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour Benefits: * Flexible schedule People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location: In person
