The product is being built in Ireland with a clear ambition to scale internationally. Safegram is committed to enabling real people and real businesses to create safer communities. **Role Description** This is a part\-time, on\-site Technical Co\-Founder role based in Dublin. The Technical Co\-Founder will lead the end\-to\-end architecture and development of the Safegram platform, including backend services, APIs, and mobile or web applications. Responsibilities include selecting and evolving the tech stack, implementing secure user verification, messaging, marketplace, and local discovery features, and ensuring high performance, scalability, and data protection. The role involves translating product and trust/safety requirements into technical solutions, collaborating closely with the founding team on product roadmap and milestones, and overseeing code quality, testing, and deployment processes. The Technical Co\-Founder will also help build and mentor an engineering team over time and contribute to fundraising, investor discussions, and long\-term technology strategy. **Qualifications** * Strong software engineering skills, with experience designing and building scalable backend systems, RESTful or GraphQL APIs, and real\-time features (e.g., messaging, notifications). * Proficiency in modern web or mobile development frameworks and languages (such as JavaScript/TypeScript, React/React Native, Swift/Kotlin, or comparable technologies). * Experience with cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices, including deployment pipelines, containerization, monitoring, and performance optimization. * Knowledge of data security, privacy\-by\-design principles, authentication/authorization, and secure handling of user and transaction data. * Background in building or integrating marketplace, payments, or local discovery systems is highly beneficial. * Ability to work in an early\-stage startup environment, taking ownership, prioritizing effectively, and collaborating across product, design, and business functions. * Demonstrated interest in social platforms, community\-building, trust and safety, or responsible technology is a strong advantage. * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; prior founding or early\-stage startup experience is a plus.
