Personal Support Worker

**Overview** As a Personal Support Worker, you’ll provide respectful, hands-on support that helps clients and residents maintain comfort, dignity, and independence. You will work in home and community care settings. **Your impact:** By following care plans and observing changes in a person’s condition, you help clients, residents, and care teams respond to needs with timely, person-centered support. **Responsibilities** * Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, meal preparation, cooking, cleaning, and personal transportation assistance. * Provide direct support, senior care, dementia and Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, and intellectual disabilities support according to each person’s needs. * Monitor and document patient observations, vital signs, and changes; communicate clearly with clients, residents, families, and care teams. * Support medication administration as authorized, follow Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy requirements, and uphold residents’ rights. * Use safe manual handling, patient transfer methods, and Hoyer lifts; apply first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) when trained and appropriate. **Experience** * Experience in caregiving, patient care, nursing, home health, home care, geriatrics, or patient personal care assistance is relevant. * Background in group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care is valued. * Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or other disabilities is welcome. * Familiarity with patient monitoring, care plans, medication administration, and safe transfers is an asset. * First aid and CPR credentials are preferred where applicable; ability to perform required duties, including heavy lifting, may be needed.
