ML/AI Engineer

We can tell you that you'll join at the ground floor with a small, senior, fully remote team. You'll own real problems from day one, ship quickly, and help shape the product, the culture, and the company. If you like ambiguity, building from zero, and work that matters, let's talk. ML/AI Engineer Responsibilities - Build, evaluate, and deploy ML/LLM-powered features into production - Design prompting, retrieval (RAG), fine-tuning, and evaluation pipelines - Build eval frameworks and metrics to measure model quality, latency, and cost - Own model serving, monitoring, and iteration in production - Track the research frontier and turn new techniques into product advantages Qualifications - 3+ years building and shipping ML systems in production - Strong Python plus experience with PyTorch, JAX, or similar - Hands-on experience with LLMs: APIs, open-weight models, embeddings, fine-tuning - Solid software engineering fundamentals (testing, versioning, APIs) - Able to frame ambiguous problems as measurable experiments Nice-to-haves - Experience with agents, tool use, or multimodal models - GPU/inference optimization (vLLM, quantization, batching) - Publications or open-source contributions in ML Compensation and Benefits Base salary range: $175,000 - $225,000 per year; final offer depends on experience and location within the range. Equity: negotiable, offered in addition to base salary. Bonus: none.
