### **Assignment Overview** * Shift: Rotating, 3x12hrs * Hours: 36 hrs/wk * Start Date: Nov 16, 2026 * Length: 13 weeks * Openings: 1 ### **Description** American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN for a Level IV Trauma, critical access hospital setting requiring ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications along with prior charge nurse experience. ### **Details** * Work in the ER of an acute care medical center that also includes a long-term care facility and outpatient services * Level IV Trauma, Critical Access Hospital setting * 3x12 variable shifts including both day (7:00-19:00) and night (19:00-7:00) schedules * Weekend shifts required * Floating within scope required to meet facility needs * No on-call responsibilities * Uses Epic charting system ### **Requirements** * Active AK RN license required * Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC (TNCC preferred) * Minimum 1 year of ER nursing experience required * Previous charge nurse experience required * Skills required include respiratory care of ventilated patients, medication administration, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, cardiac monitoring and emergency response, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and IV therapy/phlebotomy * Continuous IV sedation experience preferred * Epic EMR experience required * Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required ### **Additional Information** * First-time travelers are welcome to apply * Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted * Returning former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside the 50-mile radius * Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) * RTO requests should be submitted upfront and are granted based upon request * Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location * Scrub color is flexible, business casual or any color accepted * Facility-provided housing is available for the duration of the assignment
