After School Teacher 2nd Grade

Private school in Houston Galleria area is seeking an experienced After School Teacher to work with 2nd Grade students. Hours will be from 2:45pm to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. Must be available to start immediately and work to May 2026\. Your role will be to assist 2nd Grade students with homework and provide after school activities. Must understand the importance of providing quality education, with a caring, nurturing, and attentive personality. Must be familiar with Eureka Math. To be considered for this position, you must meet all of the following requirements. REQUIREMENTS: Must be available to start immediately. Must pass state background and finger print check College student or college education (plus) VERY proficient in Math and be familiar with EUREKA Math (high school level and above) Minimum 2\-yrs experience teaching 2nd grade and above (plus) Must be able to help students with homework and school projects Must be able to create work assignments when students do not have homework Must be able to evaluate/assess students based on grade level and plan what is needed for them to advance/develop Must know how to teach, to assist students that are struggling with concepts Energetic/Creative/Flexible/Organized Have a professional demeanor and appearance Able to work the entire school year Proven track record of dependability/accountability/responsibility Must be punctual Communicates effectively orally and written Familiar with classroom management strategies Excellent organizational skills, with great work ethics Must bring a positive attitude and work well with others Must have excellent math skills Job Type: Part\-time Pay: $17\.00 \- $18\.00 per hour Work Location: In person
