We build a cloud platform that helps wholesale distributors manage inventory, purchase orders, and supplier communications. Our platform brings purchasing and stock information into one place, helping businesses reduce manual data entry, track incoming goods, and make better\-informed replenishment decisions. **About the Role** You will develop the frontend interfaces and backend services behind Norveliq’s inventory management platform. Your work will help customers track stock across locations, manage purchasing workflows, and connect their existing business systems. This is a mid\-level individual contributor position. You will own clearly scoped features from initial discussion through deployment, with support from senior engineers on larger architectural decisions. You will collaborate with Engineering, Product, Design, and Customer Support to turn everyday operational problems into reliable software. **What You’ll Do** * Build responsive, accessible interfaces using React and TypeScript. * Develop backend services and REST APIs using Python and FastAPI. * Build features for inventory tracking, purchase orders, receiving, and supplier management. * Integrate the platform with accounting software, online stores, and warehouse systems. * Design PostgreSQL schemas, write migrations, and improve database performance. * Develop background jobs that handle synchronization, retries, and duplicate events safely. * Write automated tests, review code, and document important technical decisions. * Investigate production issues during working hours and address their underlying causes. * Work with Product and Design to clarify requirements, estimate effort, and deliver features in manageable stages. **What You’ll Bring** * At least three years of professional software development experience, or equivalent demonstrated experience delivering production applications. * Practical experience with React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. * Backend development experience with Python and a framework such as FastAPI or Django. * Working knowledge of PostgreSQL or another relational database. * Experience building APIs and integrating third\-party services. * An understanding of authentication, authorization, data validation, and application security. * Experience using Git, automated testing, and code review. * The ability to troubleshoot problems across the frontend, backend, and database. * Clear written and spoken English and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team. * A computer science degree is welcome but not required. We value relevant experience and practical engineering judgment. **Nice to Have** * Experience with inventory management, purchasing, accounting integrations, or other business software. * Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Redis, background processing, or application monitoring. * Experience building multi\-tenant SaaS applications or working with systems that require accurate transaction histories. * You do not need experience with every tool in our stack to apply. **Our Technology Stack** React, TypeScript, Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS, Docker, and GitHub Actions. **Compensation and Working Expectations** The annual base salary range is $135,000–$160,000\. Your offer will reflect relevant experience, technical skills, and the level of feature ownership you demonstrate. The same salary range applies across eligible U.S. locations. This is a salaried position. The stated range excludes benefits. No variable bonus or equity award is included in this package. Compensation is reviewed annually. We plan work around a 40\-hour week. This position does not include an after\-hours on\-call rotation or scheduled evening or weekend work. **Benefits** * Medical, dental, and vision: Coverage begins on the first day of the month following hire. Norveliq pays 90% of employee premiums and 50% of eligible dependent premiums. * 401(k): Eligible after 90 days, with a dollar\-for\-dollar employer match on the first 4% of eligible pay you contribute. Employer contributions vest immediately. * Paid time off: 20 vacation days accrued annually, plus 10 paid sick days and 11 paid company holidays. * Parental leave: Eight weeks of paid parental leave after 12 months of employment. * Life and disability insurance: Company\-paid basic life and short\-term disability coverage. * Remote equipment: Company\-provided laptop, monitor, and accessories, plus a one\-time $750 home\-office allowance. * Internet support: $75 monthly reimbursement toward home internet. * Professional development: Up to $1,500 annually for approved courses, certifications, books, or conferences. * Paid onboarding: A structured introduction to the product and development process, with an assigned engineering buddy. **How We Work Together** * We value clear communication, realistic commitments, and maintainable software. Engineers are encouraged to ask questions, suggest improvements, and raise concerns early. * We document decisions, keep meetings focused, and make room for uninterrupted work. Teammates are available for pairing and design discussions, and asking for help is encouraged. * Different communication styles are welcome. Social activities are optional, and personal time is respected. **Your First 90 Days** First 30 days: Learn the platform, set up your development environment, and release a small improvement with support from your onboarding buddy. By 60 days: Deliver a scoped feature across the frontend and backend, including tests and release monitoring. By 90 days: Independently own a medium\-sized feature and contribute an improvement to reliability, usability, or the development process. Success is measured by reliable delivery, maintainable code, thoughtful decisions, and effective collaboration. **Hiring Process** *A 30\-minute introductory conversation about your experience and expectations.* *A 60\-minute practical coding and debugging session using a small sample application.* *A 45\-minute technical discussion about APIs, data modeling, and feature design.* *A 30\-minute conversation with the Engineering Manager about collaboration and ownership.* No unpaid take\-home project is required.
