Software Engineer

**A high-growth AI-native startup is hiring a Software Engineer in San Francisco to join a small, high-intensity team shipping real product to real users.** This is a role for strong engineers who want to build with modern tools, work close to the product and ship meaningful things fast. You’ll pick up substantial scope early, write production code across the stack, and work the way the best teams are now working: tight loops, strong taste, AI tooling built into every part of the workflow. Role: Software Engineer Salary: $200,000 - $350,000 plus equity Location: San Francisco, 5 days per week in office **What you’ll be doing:** * Design, build and ship production features across Python, TypeScript, React and Next.js * Own meaningful parts of the product end to end * Keep a high bar on code quality, reliability and performance * Partner with product and the founders to shape what gets built and in what order * Use AI tooling (Claude, Cursor and similar) across your workflow to move faster without dropping quality * Contribute to engineering standards, tooling and culture as the team grows **What you’ll need:** * Strong commercial software engineering experience, with real production work in Python, TypeScript, React and Next.js * Track record shipping features end to end in a fast-moving environment * Fluent in modern AI engineering tools and able to use them to raise your output * High autonomy, high ownership and strong engineering fundamentals * Pragmatic approach to trade-offs and comfortable making calls with incomplete information * Happy working 5 days a week in-person with a small, high-intensity team **Nice to have:** * Startup or early-growth company experience * Exposure to AI/LLM product features or agentic workflows * A shipped side project you can talk about with real pride This role would suit a strong engineer who wants to build at pace, work with modern AI tooling as part of the day job and see their work land in front of real users quickly.
