Part-Time Personal Injury Case Manager

Kavanagh Injury Law, P.C. is a personal injury firm in Indianapolis that charges a 20% contingency fee. We're looking for a part-time case manager to help keep our clients' cases moving from the day they hire us until they're ready for a demand or for trial. The work is remote. You're welcome at our office at 9465 Counselors Row, Indianapolis, whenever you'd like to come in. What you'll do - Open new claims with insurance carriers once a client signs on: report the claim, confirm coverage, and get the claim number and adjuster contact. - Request and follow up on medical records and bills from providers until they come in. - Check in with clients by phone about their treatment and keep them up to date on their case. - Help clients through the information and documents needed for discovery, and prepare draft responses for attorney review. - Work alongside the firm's AI tools: review what they produce, catch what they miss, and handle the parts of the job that need a person. What we're looking for - Personal injury experience (pre-suit or litigation) is preferred but not required. Experience in insurance claims, medical records, a medical office, or another law firm is a good fit too, and we will train the right person. - Required: comfortable with technology. Our firm runs on modern software and AI tools, and you should be quick to pick up new systems. - Comfortable on the phone with clients, adjusters, and records departments. - Organized, dependable, and good at following up without being reminded. Details - Part time, 15 to 25 hours per week, with a flexible schedule. - $25 to $30 per hour, paid as a W-2 employee. - Remote, with the option to work from our Indianapolis office. - All legal advice and legal judgment stays with the attorney.
