Compliance & Governance Officer **Location:** Malaysia **Employment Type:** Full-Time **Reports To:** Management / Project Lead Role Overview We are looking for a **Compliance & Governance Officer** to support a fintech / digital payment platform. The main focus of this role is to manage **compliance, AML/KYC, governance controls and coordination with external partners** . Key Responsibilities * Manage the Company's compliance framework, policies and procedures. * Act as the main contact for compliance matters with service providers. * Oversee AML/CFT, KYC/KYB and customer due-diligence processes. * Review higher-risk customers, unusual transactions and compliance alerts. * Oversee transaction monitoring and escalation of suspicious activities. * Support sanctions, PEP and adverse-media screening. * Maintain proper compliance records and reporting. * Review approval controls, access rights and segregation of duties. * Support compliance-related systems. * Provide compliance guidance to Operations, Finance and Customer Support where required. * Support compliance readiness before product launch. * Escalate significant compliance risks or issues to Management. Candidate Requirements * Degree in Law, Finance, Business, Compliance or related discipline. * Around **3–5 years of Compliance / AML experience** . * Experience in fintech, payments, banking, e-wallets, cards or digital assets preferred. * Good knowledge of AML/CFT, KYC/KYB and transaction monitoring. * Experience dealing with payment providers, financial institutions or compliance vendors is an advantage. * Able to work independently and communicate effectively with external partners.
