DevOps Team Lead

**About the Organisation** Our client builds secure software for highly regulated industries, specialising in data security and anti-fraud platforms. They design, build and operate secure digital platforms for organisations handling sensitive data and mission-critical workloads. **The Opportunity** We're after a hands-on DevOps Team Lead, or a strong Senior Engineer ready to step into a 2IC role, to lead a small, growing team of Linux DevOps engineers. This is a build and run role. You'll stay hands-on across infrastructure and platform engineering while driving architecture and mentoring the team. Open to candidates on the east coast, ideally **Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.** **What You'll Be Doing** * Lead, mentor and grow a small team of Linux DevOps engineers * Stay hands-on across infrastructure and platform engineering * Build, maintain and evolve OpenStack-based private cloud environments * Design and implement automation, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code * Support secure, segmented environments with strict isolation and compliance requirements * Work closely with development teams to deliver reliable, scalable platforms * Contribute to platform architecture and continuous improvement **What You Bring** * Strong Linux systems administration experience in enterprise or service provider environments * Proven OpenStack deployment, operations and troubleshooting experience, highly preferred * Solid understanding of private cloud, hybrid setups and virtualisation * DevOps capability across CI/CD, IaC (Terraform, Ansible) and scripting (Python, Bash) * Strong networking fundamentals, routing, firewalls, segmentation * Experience in high-security or highly regulated sectors * Exposure to Zero Trust architecture or compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, PCI DSS, CPS 234) highly regarded.
