Clinical Support Medical Assistant (MA)– ASC

**About the Role** Our Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking a versatile **Clinical Support Medical Assistant** to support in our **pre‑operative and post‑operative recovery areas**. This role is ideal for a candidate who is organized, patient‑focused, and comfortable working across multiple ASC workflows. **Position Summary** This position serves patients and families and an essential member of the **clinical care team** . The Medical Assistant will assist nurses and anesthesia providers with patient preparation, monitoring, and recovery tasks. **Pre‑Operative Support** * Assist with patient intake, including vitals, medication reconciliation, and allergy verification * Prepare patients for surgery following ASC protocols * Communicate patient readiness to pre‑op, anesthesia, and OR teams * Support workflow to maintain on‑time starts and efficient throughput **Post‑Operative (PACU/Recovery) Support** * Assist nursing staff with patient monitoring and comfort measures * Provide support during discharge, including reviewing instructions and coordinating follow‑up calls * Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of recovery bays * Document patient interactions and support tasks in the EMR **Qualifications** * Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA/RMA) but not required * Prior experience in an ASC, surgical practice, or outpatient clinical setting strongly preferred * Strong understanding of HIPAA, patient confidentiality, and clinical documentation * Ability to multitask and transition between clinical duties * Excellent communication, professionalism, and patient‑service skills * EMR proficiency; experience with pre‑op/PACU workflows * CPR/BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days **Schedule & Compensation** * Full‑time, Monday–Friday (no nights, weekends, or major holidays) * Competitive pay based on experience * Benefits package may include health, dental, vision, PTO, and retirement options Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Flexible schedule * Free parking * Health insurance * On-the-job training * Paid time off * Vision insurance Work Location: In person
