Part-Time Shop & Marketing Assistant

**Job Summary** Commonwealth Appraisers & Jewelers is a locally owned jewelry business in Fairfax, conveniently located directly across from George Mason University. We're looking for a friendly, dependable, and creative individual to join our team on Saturdays and assist with social media, marketing, and general office responsibilities. This position is a great fit for a college student or someone looking for a consistent, one-day-a-week opportunity. We're especially interested in someone who enjoys creating content, has an eye for design and presentation, and can bring fresh ideas to our social media and marketing efforts. **Responsibilities** * Create and assist with social media content, primarily for Instagram and Facebook * Take photos, design posts, and help develop engaging content to promote our business and services * Assist with basic marketing materials, promotions, and other creative projects * Contribute ideas for improving our social media presence and reaching potential customers * Answer incoming phone calls and schedule customer appointments * Greet customers and assist with light administrative and office duties * Occasionally assist with special events or promotional activities, as needed **Qualifications** * Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred * Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, and social media content creation * Experience with Canva or similar design tools preferred * A good eye for photography, design, and visual presentation * Ability to contribute creative ideas and work independently on assigned projects * Strong communication and organizational skills * Friendly, professional, and dependable, with good attention to detail * Comfortable interacting with customers and handling basic office responsibilities Professional marketing experience is not required, but applicants should already have a good understanding of social media and feel comfortable creating content with minimal guidance. **Schedule & Compensation** This is a part-time position scheduled primarily on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with compensation of $200 per Saturday shift. Occasional additional hours or opportunities to assist with special events may be available, with compensation discussed in advance.
