**Job Summary And Responsibilities** As our Medical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) located at our CUMC\-Bergan Cardiology Clinic, you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high\-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well\-being and recovery. To thrive in this vital role, you will possess keen assessment skills, acute critical thinking, and a patient\-first mindset, driven by a profound enthusiasm to help others. **Expectations** * Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows. * Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reasons for visit. * Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis. * Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients. * Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned. We are offering a Sign\-on Bonus and Education Assistance to new hires that meet eligibility requirements. **Required** **Job Requirements** * Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP) * Current/valid nationally recognized certification, registration or recognition for medical assistants (AAMA/CMA, RMA, NCMA) * Successfully completed Medication Aide 40\-hour course or current/valid * Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association Where You'll Work From primary to specialty care, as well as walk\-in and virtual services, CHI Health Clinic delivers more options and better access so you can spend time on what matters: being healthy.
