Senior Software Developer

**Job Description** IKON Tech Services, LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to lead complex development tasks, design scalable software solutions, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality applications. The ideal candidate will bring strong programming expertise, sound architectural judgment, and the ability to collaborate with technical teams to solve challenging business and engineering problems. In this role, you will help define technical approaches, develop and maintain application components, review code, mentor team members, and improve software reliability, performance, and maintainability. You will work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions throughout the software development life cycle. **Key Responsibilities** * Design, develop, test, and maintain complex software applications. * Establish and promote coding standards, development practices, and reusable software components. * Evaluate technical requirements and recommend appropriate architectures and implementation strategies. * Develop and integrate APIs, databases, and external services. * Review code and provide constructive technical feedback to improve quality and consistency. * Diagnose complex software defects and resolve performance, reliability, and scalability issues. * Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to plan and deliver development projects. * Mentor junior developers and share technical knowledge with the engineering team. * Support automated testing, deployment processes, and production troubleshooting. * Identify opportunities to improve application security, maintainability, and development efficiency. * Maintain technical documentation and contribute to architectural decisions. **Requirements** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. * Substantial professional software development experience, typically five or more years. * Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or C++. * Experience designing and maintaining scalable applications and software components. * Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and software design patterns. * Experience working with databases, APIs, version control, and automated testing tools. * Familiarity with code review practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies. * Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and technical decision-making skills. * Ability to manage complex assignments and collaborate effectively across teams. **Preferred Skills** * Experience with cloud platforms and distributed application architectures. * Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes. * Familiarity with microservices, application security, and performance monitoring. * Experience mentoring developers and contributing to technical planning. * Ability to evaluate emerging technologies and recommend practical improvements. **About the Company** IKON Tech Services, LLC is the employer named for this proposed Senior Software Developer posting.
