Sanctions Compliance & Sustainability Officer

MNG Airlines is looking for a Sanctions Compliance & Sustainability Officer to join our Compliance & ESG Directorate. In this role, you will support our international sanctions compliance processes through sanctions screening, due diligence, and risk assessments, while also contributing to the development and coordination of our sustainability initiatives and ESG-related projects. ***What We're Looking For*** * Bachelor's degree in Law, International Relations, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field, * Minimum 2 years of experience in sanctions compliance, regulatory compliance, KYC, or due diligence, * Good knowledge of international sanctions regulations and screening processes, particularly OFAC, EU and UN sanctions frameworks, * Knowledge of Due Diligence, KYC and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) processes, * Excellent command of written and spoken English, * Proficiency in MS Office applications, * Experience in aviation, logistics, international trade, or financial services is an advantage, * Familiarity with sanctions screening tools and compliance databases is preferred, * Interest in sustainability, ESG principles and corporate responsibility, * Strong analytical, research, organizational and problem-solving skills, * Detail-oriented, responsible and able to handle confidential information, * Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across departments. ***Key Responsibilities*** ***Sanctions Compliance*** * Conduct sanctions screening of customers, suppliers, business partners and other relevant counterparties, * Review and assess potential matches against applicable international sanctions lists, including OFAC, EU and UN sanctions lists, * Conduct Due Diligence and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews in cooperation with relevant departments, * Assess potential sanctions risks related to international air cargo operations, including relevant parties, shipment details, destinations and transit routes, * Perform periodic risk-based reviews of customers and counterparties and maintain accurate KYC records, * Identify, investigate and escalate potential sanctions matches and compliance concerns, * Support the development and continuous improvement of sanctions screening procedures and internal controls, * Maintain accurate records of screening activities, due diligence reviews and risk assessments, * Prepare periodic reports and analyses on sanctions compliance activities, * Monitor developments in international sanctions regulations and support necessary updates to internal processes. ***Sustainability & ESG*** * Support the development and implementation of corporate sustainability initiatives and ESG-related projects, * Coordinate with relevant departments to monitor the progress of ongoing sustainability activities, * Contribute to sustainability-related stakeholder engagement, international partnerships and collaborative initiatives, * Research emerging sustainability trends, industry best practices and potential opportunities for new projects, * Support the organization of sustainability-related events, awareness activities and employee engagement initiatives.
