Executive/Senior Engineer/Architect (Building Plan and Policies Department)

**\[What the role is]** The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) champions the development of a future ready built environment for Singapore. Besides regulating building safety, we lead and transform the built environment sector in delivering a safe, high quality, sustainable and friendly built environment. We are looking for solutions\-driven, energetic and self\-motivated individuals who are inspired to play an active role to make a difference to Singapore’s built environment. **\[What you will be working on]** You will play a key role in administering and shaping building regulations and policies. Your responsibilities will include: * Reviewing and approving building plan submissions, using your technical knowledge to evaluate designs for safety, environmental sustainability, and barrier\-free accessibility. * Developing strategies, policies, and processes to ensure Singapore's building control framework remains robust and future\-ready. * Studying data and industry trends to support evidence\-based policy decisions that shape how Singapore builds. * Managing complex feedback cases and conducting investigations into potential violations of the Building Control Act and Regulations, taking appropriate enforcement action where needed. * Working closely with partner agencies to create a pro\-business environment that supports a thriving construction industry while ensuring construction productivity. **\[What we are looking for]** * A degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/Architecture or Building\-related discipline. * At least 3\-4 years of experience in building design or construction supervision is preferred. * Expertise in a technical area under the Approved Document will be an advantage. * Good command of spoken and written English. * Good analytical, writing and communication skills.
