Clinical Pharmacist

**Job Summary** Provides age-specific pharmaceutical care and basic clinical services within assigned patient care areas, contributing to departmental goals, programs, quality assurance, and performance improvement activities. Performs additional duties as assigned. **Responsibilities** * Manages medication orders, ensuring safety through age-specific considerations in processing, preparation, and dispensing. * Participates in pharmacotherapeutic planning and optimizes medication use. * Supervises and guides healthcare team members in pharmacy practices. * Prepares and processes sterile products for dispensing. * Provides drug information and educational support to staff and patients. * Contributes to department and hospital goals, reports, and committees. * Maximizes safety and efficiency using automation tools. * Completes assigned tasks effectively. **Qualifications & Skills** * Minimum of a Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy degree. * Preferred: One year of hospital pharmacy experience, BLS/ACLS certification, advanced clinical training. * Basic computer literacy, interpersonal skills, and clinical awareness are required; advanced proficiency and clinical experience are preferred. * Active, unrestricted pharmacy licensure for the relevant state, or eligibility to obtain within 120 days.
