A&E Construction Co. is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our growing team in Denver, Colorado. The successful candidate will oversee purchasing activities, coordinate supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, monitor procurement expenses, and ensure the timely acquisition of construction materials, equipment, and services. We are looking for a professional with strong negotiation skills, financial awareness, and experience working with modern procurement, payment, and expense management platforms such as Ramp. Key Responsibilities * Manage day-to-day procurement and purchasing activities for construction projects. * Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers, vendors, and contractors. * Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and delivery schedules. * Prepare and process purchase orders while ensuring proper authorization. * Source construction materials, tools, equipment, and other operational supplies. * Monitor procurement budgets, purchasing expenses, and vendor costs. * Coordinate vendor invoices and payment requests with the accounts payable team. * Use business payment and expense management platforms, including Ramp or similar systems. * Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, and transaction documentation. * Monitor inventory and project purchasing requirements to prevent shortages and unnecessary spending. * Evaluate supplier performance, product quality, pricing, and delivery reliability. * Identify opportunities to reduce procurement costs and improve purchasing procedures. * Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, project requirements, and financial controls. * Prepare procurement reports and provide purchasing updates to management. Qualifications & Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, Procurement, or a related field preferred. * Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or vendor management. * Construction industry procurement experience strongly preferred. * Knowledge of construction materials, supplier negotiations, purchase orders, and procurement procedures. * Experience with Ramp, corporate payment applications, or procurement management platforms preferred. * Familiarity with invoice processing, expense tracking, and vendor payment coordination. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and business management software. * Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. * Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail. * Ability to manage multiple purchasing priorities and meet project deadlines.
