We are seeking a compassionate Middle School History Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality instruction to our students and foster a safe, nurturing environment that aligns with our Christian values. We are seeking a dedicated and student-focused educator to help inspire confidence, curiosity, and achievement in a middle school learning environment. The ideal candidate is committed to creating an inclusive classroom, supporting diverse learning needs, and helping students build a strong foundation in core history concepts. **Responsibilities** * Plan and deliver engaging, standard-aligned history lessons for middle school students. * Create a positive, respectful classroom environment that supports learning and student growth. * Differentiate instruction to meet a range of academic abilities and learning styles. * Assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, tests, and other evaluation methods. * Provide timely, constructive feedback to help students improve their understanding and skills. * Develop and implement classroom management strategies that promote engagement and accountability. * Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families to support student success. * Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance. * Communicate clearly with students and caregivers regarding academic progress and expectations. * Participate in school meetings, professional development, and other activities that support instructional excellence. **Qualifications** * All employees at MCA shall be active members of a Christian church and must sign a statement of commitment to MCA's vision, mission, objectives and statement of faith. * Valid teaching certification or eligibility for certification, as required by the state of Indiana. * Strong knowledge of subject and instructional best practices. * Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, approachable, and engaging manner. * Commitment to supporting student achievement and fostering a positive classroom culture. * Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills. * Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school staff. **Preferred Attributes** * Passion for helping students build confidence and problem-solving skills. * Experience using technology to enhance instruction and student learning. * Ability to adapt instruction to support both enrichment and remediation. * Experience teaching high school or middle school history. **What We Offer** * A supportive and student-centered school community. * Opportunities for professional growth and ongoing development. * Collaborative colleagues and access to instructional resources. * The opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic and spiritual journeys. * A supportive, faith-filled, and encouraging work environment.
