Team Leader Financial Accounting- 12 month FTC

**About The Role** I am looking for a Team Leader – Financial Accounting to lead a team of six in delivering core financial accounting, external reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, taxation compliance, and fixed asset management for a 12 month fixed term contract. **Key Responsibilities** * Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and build a high-performing financial accounting team. * Financial Reporting & Reconciliations: Lead external financial reporting, general ledger reconciliations, fixed asset management, and monthly Treasury submissions via CFISnet. * Audit & Annual Processes: Coordinate annual reporting processes, external audit requirements, and ministerial information requests. * Process Improvement: Identify risks and implement efficient financial controls and processes. **Key Requirements** * Qualifications: Tertiary degree in Accounting/Finance and CAANZ (or equivalent) membership. * Leadership Experience: Proven track record leading, motivating, and developing finance teams. * Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of public sector accounting standards tax compliance, and the Public Finance Act. * Systems & Data: Experience with financial management information systems and complex reconciliations. * Stakeholder Management: Outstanding communication skills with experience engaging internal managers and external audit/government stakeholders.
