Job description from the source
**Platform Engineer - On-site** My client is an ambitious, early-stage quantitative technology business building a high-performance research and trading platform from the ground up. The team brings together talent from leading organisations including Jump Trading, Google and Citadel Securities, alongside IMO medalists. The business operates at the intersection of quantitative research, software engineering and systems performance, developing the tools, infrastructure and compute environments that power advanced quantitative research. This is an opportunity to join a small, technically focused team, working directly with quantitative researchers to build production-ready systems, optimise performance and shape the architecture of a platform designed to scale. **What we're looking for:-** * A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience. * 2+ years’ experience in production systems development. * Strong programming skills in Python and working knowledge of C++. * Solid foundations in computer science, including algorithms, operating systems and concurrency. * Experience with Linux systems and cloud infrastructure, AWS, GCP or Azure, plus exposure to at least one of HPC/GPU compute, CI/CD. * Understanding of performance optimisation and scalable systems. * Exposure to high-performance computing, GPU infrastructure or modern DevOps practices is advantageous. * Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on high-quality software engineering. **If you are interested in the Platform Engineer role then apply here.**
