For more information on the company, please visit our website: www.synechron.com *Note: A minimum of 7+ years of experience is required for this role.* **Description:** We are seeking an experienced **Data Test Engineer** with strong knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, SQL, and data validation methodologies. **Key Responsibilities:** * Design and execute test scenarios for data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouses. * Validate data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and transformation logic. * Perform source-to-target data validation and reconciliation. * Test Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD Types 1 and 2), audit columns, incremental loads, and historical data. * Develop and execute complex SQL queries for data testing and analysis. * Identify, document, and track data defects through to resolution. * Collaborate with data engineers, developers, business analysts, and stakeholders. * Support testing across modern data platforms and cloud-based data pipelines. * Prepare test cases, test results, defect reports, and validation documentation. **Required Skills and Experience:** * Hands-on experience in **data testing and data validation** . * Strong understanding of **ETL processes and data warehousing concepts** . * Practical knowledge of **SCDs, audit columns, data mapping, and data reconciliation** . * Strong SQL skills, including joins, aggregations, subqueries, and validation queries. * Experience testing batch and/or real-time data pipelines. * Exposure to modern data platforms such as **Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, or AWS** . * Good understanding of data quality, defect management, and testing methodologies. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. **Desirable:** * Experience with Databricks or other cloud-based data platforms. * Familiarity with automation tools and Agile/Scrum delivery. * Previous experience working with ASB or in banking/financial services environments.
