Clinical Review Specialist (RN) Independent Contractor | Remote

**Job Overview** As a Clinical Review Specialist, you'll support the utilization review process through clinical documentation and case preparation on workers' compensation claims in accordance with jurisdiction guidelines and evidence-based criteria. This is a 1099 independent contractor position, ideal for an RN looking to supplement income, transition out of bedside care, or build a flexible remote practice. **What You'll Do** * Review medical records, treatment requests, and clinical documentation for workers' comp claims * Apply evidence-based criteria (ODG, MTUS, or similar) to evaluate medical necessity * Support the utilization review process through clinical documentation and case preparation * Meet turnaround time requirements in compliance with UR standards * Communicate professionally with internal team members as needed **What We're Looking For** * Active, unrestricted RN license (Texas preferred; multi-state compact license accepted) * Minimum 3 years of clinical experience; occupational health, orthopedics, or case management background a plus * Prior utilization review or case management experience strongly preferred * Familiarity with workers' compensation, ODG guidelines, or TDI UR rules a plus * Strong written communication and clinical documentation skills * Comfortable working independently in a remote environment * Reliable internet connection and ability to meet deadlines **What We Offer** * Flexible, remote contract work — set your own schedule around your availability * Per-case compensation structure * Supportive, collaborative team environment * Opportunity to grow with an expanding URA **To Apply** Send your CV to **admin@thehiveteam.net**.
