Cloud Engineer – Azure

We work collaboratively, challenge the status quo and give our people the opportunity to make an impact — for our clients, our communities and each other. **Job Description** Contract Opportunity - ASAP start until March 2027 * Support the **Cloud and Corporate Networks teams** across infrastructure, operations, transformation projects, and security initiatives. * Engineer, support, and optimise **multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, and GCP)** , with a strong focus on Azure. * Design and manage secure, resilient cloud infrastructure and shared services, including **DNS, proxy, backup, and SOE** . * Deliver **cyber hardening, security controls, operational resilience, and governance** initiatives across enterprise cloud platforms. * Provide **Level 3 technical support** and resolve complex cloud and infrastructure issues. * Design and implement cloud networking, automation, monitoring, and container platforms using technologies such as **Python, Docker, and Kubernetes** . * Collaborate with architecture, security, engineering, and operations teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and business-aligned cloud solutions. * Support enterprise **CAB and change management processes** , balancing governance, risk, and delivery outcomes. **Qualifications** * Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent experience. * Strong enterprise cloud engineering experience with **Azure** and working knowledge of **AWS and GCP** . * Proven experience in **cloud governance, cyber hardening, security controls, and operational resilience** within large enterprise environments. * Hands-on experience designing and managing shared services including **DNS, proxy, backup, and SOE** . * Strong understanding of **cloud security, compliance, ITSM, CAB, and change management** processes. * Experience providing **Level 3 support** for complex cloud and infrastructure environments. * Strong expertise in **cloud networking, automation, and scripting** (Python, Shell). * Hands-on experience with **Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native container platforms** . * Experience implementing **monitoring, observability, and performance management** solutions. * Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to balance **security, governance, and delivery outcomes** . **Additional Information** **Why NCS?** This is a place for people who like to get stuck in, bring ideas to life and make things happen.
