Job description from the source

**Barden** is delighted to be working with one of our clients in the energy domain as they look to hire a Transformation Project Accountant in Cork. They are moving their finance function onto Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, with go-live set for H1 2027. The process design is done. What the team needs now is a strong accountant to prove the numbers, so that everything migrated into the new system lands exactly as it should. You will test, retest, and reconcile across Treasury, Procure to Pay, Fixed Assets, and more, working closely with the project team who own the fixes. “The hard design work is behind us. We need a sharp, practical accountant who knows how the numbers should flow, and who will tell us straight away when something does not look right.” **ABOUT THE ROLE** * Validate data migrated from the current system into Business Central. * Review trial balances and confirm transactions are recorded correctly. * Test and retest across such as Treasury/cash, Procure to Pay, and Fixed Assets etc. * Reconcile between the old and new systems and investigate any differences. * Raise issues clearly and work with the project team to get them fixed. * Support the business through cut-over and go-live. **ABOUT THE PERSON** * Qualified accountant with strong fundamentals, including debits and credits and how sub-ledgers flow to the trial balance. * Experience reconciling between systems and resolving differences. * Broad finance exposure across areas such as cash, P2P, and fixed assets. * Confident communicator, comfortable challenging when something is not right. * Exposure to ERP migrations or Business Central/NAV is a plus. * Available at short notice.
