We are seeking an experienced Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with a background in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering to support our growing portfolio of live entertainment and temporary installation projects, including concerts, music festivals, stage productions, experiential activations, and large\-scale art installations. This is an excellent opportunity for an independently licensed engineer seeking flexible, project\-based work in a dynamic environment. Position Overview The primary responsibility of this role is to perform onsite structural observations and engineering peer reviews of temporary structures, stages, and art installations used in live entertainment environments. The engineer will evaluate installed structures against approved or reviewed engineering drawings, identify deviations from the intended design, document observed conditions, and provide technical recommendations to site managers and production teams to address deficiencies ahead of jurisdictional building and safety inspections. Additional assignments throughout the year may involve reviewing engineering drawings, evaluating structural stability and environmental loading conditions, and providing professional engineering certification and stamped documentation within the engineer’s area of competence and applicable licensure. Key ResponsibilitiesOnsite Structural Observations \& Field Reviews (Primary Scope) Conduct onsite observations of temporary stages, truss assemblies, scenic structures, art installations, and other event\-related structures. Compare as\-built conditions against engineering drawings, calculations, and approved design documentation. Identify and document discrepancies, incomplete installations, missing structural components, and deviations from reviewed designs. Evaluate observable structural conditions, including anchorage, ballast, bracing, connections, and general stability. Prepare professional observation reports with photographic documentation, technical findings, and recommended corrective actions. Communicate directly with site managers, production teams, and installation contractors to provide practical engineering feedback and remediation recommendations. Support project teams in addressing structural concerns ahead of building department or authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) inspections. Conduct follow\-up observations or review supporting documentation to verify implementation of recommended corrections, as required. Engineering Drawing Reviews \& Structural Analysis (Secondary Scope) ● ● ● ● ● Review structural engineering drawings, calculations, and technical documentation for temporary and permanent installations. Perform or independently verify structural stability analyses, including wind loading, overturning, sliding, uplift, anchorage, and other applicable environmental and structural loading conditions. Evaluate structural designs for compliance with applicable building codes, standards, and jurisdictional requirements. Provide engineering recommendations to improve structural integrity, safety, and constructability. Prepare, review, and seal engineering calculations, reports, and drawings when appropriate, within the engineer’s licensed discipline, demonstrated competence, and responsible charge. Required Qualifications ● ● ● ● Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline. Active Professional Engineer (PE) licenses in BOTH California and Nevada (mandatory).
