Senior Project Manager

An outstanding opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Project Manager to take a lead role on a high-profile hyperscale data centre project in Melbourne. Working with a highly regarded commercial contractor, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of a complex, technically demanding project, leading the project team and coordinating closely with the client, consultants, subcontractors and key stakeholders. This is a significant opportunity for a proven construction professional looking to deliver one of Melbourne’s major mission critical developments. **Key Responsibilities:** * Lead the project through design, construction, commissioning and handover * Manage and mentor the project team including PMs, CAs, engineers and site personnel * Drive programme, procurement, commercial outcomes and overall project performance * Manage client, consultant, subcontractor and stakeholder relationships * Work closely with services and commissioning teams to ensure programme milestones are achieved * Maintain strong standards across safety, quality, cost and programme * Identify and manage project risks, design issues and critical path activities * Provide accurate reporting to senior management and the client **About You:** * Extensive experience delivering major commercial construction projects, * Previous experience on data centres highly desirable or similarly services-intensive projects * Strong understanding of complex building services and commissioning * Proven experience managing large project teams and major subcontract packages * Excellent commercial, programme and stakeholder management capability * Strong leadership style with the ability to drive performance across multiple workstreams * Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline preferred **What’s in it for you?** * Salary circa $350k package * Lead a high-profile hyperscale data centre development * Work on one of the most technically complex sectors in the construction market * Senior leadership role with significant autonomy and project influence * Long-term pipeline of major data centres and associated projects.
