**Lead Power Platform Architect** **Location:** Dublin, Ireland **Contract:** 6 months initially, with potential for extension / permanent opportunity **Rate:** **€838/Day** **Working Arrangement:** Hybrid – 2–3 days per week onsite **The Opportunity** I’m recruiting for a **Lead Software Engineer – Power Platform** opportunity with a **global technology and payments organisation** in Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity for a **senior software engineer with deep Power Platform expertise** who enjoys building products from the ground up and wants to work at the intersection of **software engineering, Power Platform, UX and AI** . You'll be joining a **greenfield product initiative** , building new internal products and experiences designed to improve productivity, streamline decision\-making and enhance product development workflows across a large global organisation. This is **not a traditional BAU Power Apps role** . You'll have genuine influence over architecture, technical standards, user experience and modern development practices. **What You'll Be Doing:** * Design and build modern, scalable **Power Apps applications** from concept through production. * Develop and optimise **Power Apps Canvas and Code Apps** applications. * Design and deliver reliable, production\-grade **Power Automate workflows** . * Build secure and scalable solutions using **Dataverse** . * Develop integrations across **Microsoft 365, Power Platform and enterprise systems** . * Work closely with Product Managers and UX Designers to translate requirements into intuitive user experiences. * Contribute to product discovery, solution design and technical architecture. * Establish reusable components, development patterns and engineering standards. * Troubleshoot and optimise application, automation and data performance. * Champion usability, accessibility, maintainability and product quality. * Introduce and apply **AI\-assisted development approaches** to accelerate delivery and improve engineering productivity. * Evaluate emerging Microsoft Power Platform and AI capabilities and identify opportunities to apply them effectively. **What We're Looking For:** **Essential Experience** * **5\+ years of software engineering experience** – 10\+ years preferred. * **3\+ years of hands\-on Microsoft Power Platform experience.** * Deep experience building and maintaining **Power Apps Canvas applications** . * Strong **Power Automate** experience, including production\-grade workflows. * Strong knowledge of **Dataverse architecture, data modelling, security and governance** . * Experience delivering business\-critical applications used by large internal audiences. * Proven experience improving application **performance, scalability and maintainability** . * Strong understanding of **modern UX and user\-centred design** . * Experience working within agile product teams from discovery through implementation and iteration. * Practical experience using **AI development tools** , such as Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code or similar. **Highly Desirable** * **Power Platform Code Apps** * **React** * Modern front\-end development * Hybrid Power Platform \+ custom front\-end solutions * Figma / Figma Dev Mode / Figma Make * AI integration within business applications * Greenfield product development * Establishing reusable engineering patterns and development standards **Who This Role Will Suit** * We're looking for someone who sits comfortably between **software engineering and Power Platform** .. **Why Consider This Opportunity?** This is more than a traditional Power Platform development role.
