**Lithium Extraction Operator** **LibertyStream \| Odessa, TX \| Full\-Time \| 12\-Hour Rotating Shifts** **About the Role** LibertyStream is hiring a mechanically minded Lithium Extraction Operator to run and maintain our lithium extraction process equipment in Odessa, TX. This role is a great fit for a mechanical engineer, or someone with equivalent hands\-on experience, who wants to work directly with pumps, columns, heat exchangers, and piping in a growing domestic lithium operation. **What You'll Do** * Operate and monitor extraction equipment, including ion\-exchange columns, filtration, membrane systems, and crystallization units * Monitor flow, pressure, temperature, and level through the control system and field rounds, and respond to alarms and upsets * Troubleshoot pumps, compressors, valves, and other rotating and static equipment in brine service * Support predictive maintenance, including vibration checks, lubrication rounds, and inspections for corrosion and scaling * Lead or support root cause analysis on equipment failures and recommend fixes * Read P\&IDs and drawings, and help improve procedures and equipment performance * Follow all safety and permit requirements (LOTO, Line/Flange Break, Confined Space, Hot Work) **What You Bring** * Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering * or a related field, or equivalent hands\-on experience (military, trade school, or industrial maintenance) * Working knowledge of pumps, valves, piping, and pressure equipment * Ability to read P\&IDs, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals * Willingness to work 12\-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays * Valid driver's license **Nice to Have** * 1–3 years in chemical processing, oil and gas, water treatment, or mining * Experience with brine handling, ion exchange, RO/NF, or crystallization * OSHA 10/30 or PSM knowledge **Work Environment** Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather.
