Elementary Art Teacher

**POSITION:** **Elementary Art Teacher** **RESPONSIBLE TO:** **Superintendent and Building Principal** **ESSENTIAL DUTIES:** Instructs students by lecturing, demonstrating, modeling, and using audio visual aids and other materials to supplement presentations; prepares course objectives and outlines for course of study following curriculum guidelines or requirements of state and school; prepares, administers, and corrects tests, and records results; assigns lessons, corrects papers, etc; teaches rules of conduct; maintains order in classroom and on school grounds; counsels pupils when adjustment and academic problems arise, discusses pupils’ academic and behavioral attitudes and achievements with parents; keeps attendance and grade records as required by school; other duties assigned. **QUALIFICATIONS:** **Individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
