If so, a global manufacturing business is looking to appoint a **Planning Manager** to lead both its **Planning and Purchasing functions** , **taking ownership of customer demand** , **production planning, supplier performance and continuous improvement across the supply chain** . **Planning Manager** **Permanent Position** **ASAP start** **Derby** **Planning Manager** **Job Description:** * Leading the Planning and Purchasing teams, managing customer demand through the SIOP process to ensure production, capacity and material plans are aligned with business requirements. * Managing the production planning process, ensuring customer demand is translated into achievable production schedules through effective capacity planning and SIOP. * Managing the sales orderbook, monitoring customer demand changes, producing KPI reports, and working closely with manufacturing to ensure delivery performance and operational targets are achieved. * Driving supplier performance, managing key supplier relationships, implementing cost reduction initiatives, improving purchasing processes and using ERP systems to optimise planning, scheduling, inventory and supply chain performance. * Coaching and developing the supply chain team, embedding lean processes, improving KPI performance, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and supply chain best practice. **Planning Manager** **Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications:** * Proven experience in a Supply Chain Manager, Planning Manager, Demand Planning Manager or similar leadership position within precision manufacturing * Strong understanding of both production planning/SIOP and purchasing * Experienced using ERP/MRP systems * Strong supplier communication experience **Please apply below if this role is of interest!**
