**Senior Data Scientist | AI Strategy & Transformation | €800 Daily** * **Shape and implement AI strategy** * **Define where AI creates value — then turn strategy into production** * **€800 daily | 6-month contract | Long-term potential** A leading organisation in the insurance sector is embarking on a major technology transformation, rebuilding core platforms and capabilities from the ground up while moving away from legacy technology. As a Senior Data Scientist, you’ll play a key role in defining how AI fits into that transformation — identifying where it can genuinely create value, shaping the strategy around it and working with technical teams to turn that strategy into real, production-ready solutions. This is an opportunity for someone who can operate at both levels: strategic enough to understand the bigger picture, but technically strong enough to get into the detail and help make it happen. You’ll challenge assumptions, evaluate emerging AI capabilities and help the organisation move from ideas and experimentation to practical implementation. **Why You’ll Love This Role** * Shape the AI strategy — help define where AI should be used and how it can support a major technology transformation. * Strategy meets implementation — move beyond recommendations and help turn AI strategy into tangible solutions. * Influence at senior level — work with technology leaders, data teams and business stakeholders to identify and prioritise opportunities. * Greenfield transformation — help build new capabilities rather than simply optimising legacy technology. * Long-term opportunity — an initial 6-month contract with strong potential to continue as the transformation progresses. **What You’ll Do** * Shape and drive AI initiatives from strategy and opportunity identification through to implementation and delivery. * Identify high-value AI use cases, assess feasibility and build the case for where investment should be focused. * Act as a trusted AI advisor, helping senior stakeholders understand what modern AI can realistically deliver. * Work closely with Data Science, Engineering, Architecture and business teams to translate strategy into practical solutions. * Evaluate emerging AI technologies, approaches and models, separating genuine opportunities from hype. * Help establish the organisation’s approach to AI adoption, experimentation, governance and implementation. **Key Requirements** * 15+ years’ experience across Data Science, AI, Machine Learning or a closely related technical discipline. * Strong track record of shaping and implementing AI strategy within complex organisations. * Experience taking AI initiatives from concept and business case through to implementation and production. * Strong understanding of modern AI, including Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI and AI-enabled applications.
