Job Title: Research Fellow (Optical Fiber Sensing of Coastal and Marine Structures) University\-Level Unit: College of Design and Engineering Faculty/Department\-Level Unit: Civil and Environmental Engineering Employee Category: Research Staff Location\_ONB: Kent Ridge Campus Posting Start Date: 30/09/2026 **Job Description** The selected individual will be responsible for leading and managing research activities related to the project titled “Optical Fiber Sensing of Coastal and Marine Structures.” He/She will be required to investigate and understand the coupled interaction mechanisms between optical fiber sensors and marine and coastal structures, developing appropriate sensing and analysis methodologies, and supporting the experimental validation and interpretation of sensing data. **Job Requirements** * Possess a PhD degree from relevant fields such as Civil Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Computer Science, or related disciplines. Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Earth Sciences, Remote Sensing, and Artificial Intelligence are also well\-suited.
