Lawrence County Department of Job \& Family Services NOTICE OF JOB OPPORTUNITY Social Services Worker III—Child Protective Services Unit **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**: Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related human services field. Or 6 month paid work experience as SSW 2 at County DJFS. Previous protective services experience and/or master’s degree preferred. **CLASSIFICATION**: Pay Range 28 Step 1 $20\.76 promote to Step 2 $21\.61 after completion of probation. Step out annually at Step 9 $26\.41\. Longevity after 5 years of services. **DUTIES:** Primary duties include receiving, documenting, and screening allegations of child abuse/ neglect. When needed, individual may provide a wide range of casework services to children and families. Duties may include any or combination of any of the following: * Investigation and/or assessment of child abuse/neglect referrals; * Maintenance of a caseload of families/children who require proactive assistance; * Provision of adoption and post adoption services to children and families.
