Substitute Preschool Teacher

**Job Overview** As a Substitute Preschool Teacher, you’ll step into classrooms as needed to keep children learning, engaged, and supported. You’ll follow established lesson plans and school policies while adapting instruction to children’s needs, interests, and developmental stages. Your impact: Consistent, caring teaching helps children feel secure and continue building early learning skills when their regular teacher is away. **Responsibilities** * Lead preschool teaching activities and implement curriculum in literacy, math, and other early learning areas; support curriculum development and lesson planning as assigned. * Maintain a safe, welcoming classroom through active classroom and behavior management, childcare, and attention to childhood development. * Adapt instruction for individual learning needs, including students receiving special education support and individuals with autism. * Collaborate with teachers, communicate with parents, and use computers and educational technologies to support learning. * Follow school policies and applicable mandated reporting laws; provide tutoring or other learning support as needed. **Experience** * Experience working with children and students, with classroom experience; preschool experience is preferred. * Knowledge of early childhood education, teaching practices, curriculum implementation, and instructional adaptability. * Strong communication skills and experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds. * Familiarity with special education, literacy education, math, Montessori approaches, or private school settings is helpful. * Experience with teacher collaboration, parent-teacher communication, educational technologies, behavior management, and mandated reporting laws is an asset.
