**Location:** Galway (Hybrid) **Salary:** €75,000\-€85,000 \+ Full list of benefits **Overview** We are looking for an experienced Senior .NET Developer to play a pivotal role in the design, development, and ongoing enhancement of modern distributed applications. This opportunity suits a hands\-on technical leader who is passionate about building high\-quality software, influencing architecture, mentoring engineers, and promoting engineering excellence across teams. You will contribute to the delivery of cloud\-native solutions built on .NET Core, with a strong focus on microservices, distributed systems, and event\-driven architectures. **Key Responsibilities** * Lead the design and development of scalable, high\-performance applications using .NET Core and C\#. * Drive architectural decisions across distributed systems and microservices\-based platforms. * Promote software engineering best practices, coding standards, and design principles. * Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to development teams. * Contribute to solution architecture, technical strategy, and continuous improvement initiatives. * Ensure applications are reliable, maintainable, and highly observable in production environments. * Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to deliver innovative and high\-quality solutions. * Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions. * Investigate and resolve complex production issues, implementing sustainable long\-term fixes. **Required Skills \& Experience** * Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience. * 8\+ years of commercial software development experience with .NET and C\#. * Strong expertise in .NET Core and modern backend application development. * Proven experience designing and building message\-driven distributed systems. * Solid background working with microservices architectures. * Strong understanding of software design principles and architectural patterns. * Experience implementing industry best practices for application design and coding standards. * Ability to influence technical direction and deliver innovative solutions. * Capable of working effectively in fast\-paced environments and meeting challenging deadlines. * Self\-driven with a proactive approach and the ability to lead by example. * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross\-functional teams.
