Job description from the source
Location: Raleigh, NC Employment Type: Full-time Work Location: On site Great product design makes complex tasks feel straightforward. Marklyte Technologies is looking for a UX/UI Designer who can understand what users need, bring structure to ideas, and create digital experiences that are clear, useful, and well considered. You will work with product, engineering, and business colleagues from early discovery through to launch. This is a hands-on role with room to influence how products look, behave, and improve over time. What you will be doing * Turn product requirements, user feedback, and business goals into user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished interface designs. * Plan and conduct user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions to understand how people use our products. * Create intuitive web and application experiences that work well across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. * Develop and maintain design-system components, patterns, and guidance to support a consistent product experience. * Partner with product managers to define problems, clarify priorities, and shape new features. * Work closely with engineers to ensure designs are practical to build and accurately implemented. * Present design thinking and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders. * Review live products, identify friction points, and recommend improvements based on user behaviour and feedback. * Maintain design files, user journeys, research findings, and documentation in a structured, accessible way. * Keep informed about accessibility standards, interface patterns, and good design practice. What you will bring * Proven experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer, Product Designer, or in a similar digital-design role. * A portfolio showing your design process as well as completed work, including research, wireframes, prototypes, and final interfaces. * Strong proficiency in Figma and familiarity with related design and collaboration tools. * Experience designing responsive web applications, software platforms, or other digital products. * An understanding of user-centred design, information architecture, usability testing, and accessibility principles. * The ability to balance user needs, technical constraints, and commercial priorities. * Strong visual-design skills, including layout, typography, colour, and interaction design. * Clear communication skills and confidence explaining design decisions. * Good organisation and attention to detail when managing several pieces of work at once. Experience working in an agile product-development environment and familiarity with HTML and CSS would be beneficial. Working at Marklyte Technologies You will join a collaborative technology team where designers are involved in the conversation from the start, not simply asked to make finished ideas look better. We value curiosity, constructive feedback, and design decisions that solve real problems for users. Core hours: Monday to Friday, generally 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Benefits * Medical, dental, and vision insurance * 401(k) plan with employer contribution * Paid time off, paid sick leave, and paid company holidays * Life and disability insurance * Professional-development support for design training, conferences, and relevant memberships * Company-provided equipment and software * Employee assistance program Marklyte Technologies is an equal opportunity employer. Qualified applicants will be considered without regard to legally protected characteristics. Pay: $110,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) matching * Health insurance * Life insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Work Location: In person
