Data Engineer - MS SQL

Role : Data Engineer \- MS SQL Type of role \- Permanent Position Location : Sydney, Australia Job Description : No of years relevant experience. Database (3NF) / data warehouse modelling (e.g. Star schema, Kimball, Snowflake, Hybrid) experience highly desirable Data engineering with ETL/ELT tools or code pipelines or data analytics experience Certification or working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall principles and methodologies Experience with DevOps \& CI/CD desirable but not critical Experience with Data Lake, Data Mesh, AWS Cloud, Analytics, Cloud Reporting and/or Machine Learning desirable but not essential Demonstrated strengths in Microsoft SQL Server BI Stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSMS) and code scripting e.g. Linux/Unix Scripting (bsh, ksh), Powershell Experience with AWS S3, Apache Airflow, Glue, Qlik, SAP Business Objects desirable Experience with Atlassian products (Confluence, Jira) or MS Sharepoint desirable Experience with incident management tools and workflows (e.g. support ticket applications) Understanding of business applications, interfaces and integrated operational environments Good understanding of Data Platforms, Data models and Reporting (including Dashboards) Effective stakeholder management skills Customer \& Outcome Focus Leading and developing self and others Innovation and creativity Integrity and values Energy and enthusiasm Flexible and adaptable approach Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent written and oral communication skills to C Level audience Drive and passion to succeed in a challenging business and company environment.
