Principal Software Engineer | Golang

**Principal Software Engineer (Golang) \| Austin, TX (Hybrid)** We're working with a well\-funded, high\-growth technology company that operates a large, distributed network of connected devices deployed across thousands of locations nationwide, delivering real\-time content and data at scale. The company has scaled significantly in recent years and recently expanded its data and targeting capabilities through a strategic partnership, putting it at the leading edge of a fast\-growing market category. The role: You'll be the most senior individual contributor on the backend team, owning the systems that power the company's real\-time device network and content delivery across a large, distributed fleet nationwide. You'll: * Design, build, and maintain high\-scale backend services in Go * Lead backend initiatives end\-to\-end \- from architecture through to production \- improving reliability, performance, and resiliency across distributed systems * Build and evolve the systems that manage content delivery and device coordination across a nationwide network * Design and evolve API\-first services supporting both customer\-facing and internal applications * Partner directly with Product to scope, plan, and execute backend work What we're looking for: * 10\+ years of professional software engineering experience * Strong proficiency in Go, with real experience operating high\-scale backend systems in production * Solid grasp of distributed systems concepts and trade\-offs * Experience building API\-first, customer\-facing services * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent Package: * Base: $225k \- $250k * Strong health coverage (medical, dental, vision) with employer HSA contribution * Unlimited PTO, annual learning \& development stipend * On\-site 3x/week in Austin \- hands\-on, collaborative engineering culture
