Roofing Production Manager

**Compensation:** $70,000–$100,000+ expected total compensation, including $60,000 base salary plus performance-based production incentive **The Role** We’re looking for a smart, motivated Production Manager to own our roofing projects from post-sale through final completion, payment, and customer review. This role is the backbone of our production operation and becomes the primary face of Bumble Roofing once the contract is signed. This is a field-first role for someone who likes being where the action is: visiting job sites, coordinating subcontractor crews, solving problems, communicating with homeowners, and making sure projects move from sold to completed without things falling through the cracks. We’re looking for someone who already understands construction project management, job-site flow, subcontractor coordination, and the issues that arise when managing residential construction projects. Residential roofing experience is a major advantage and will receive strong preference, but it is not required. We will consider candidates from other construction trades who have demonstrated project management and field experience. Just as important, we want someone intelligent, motivated, organized, and able to grow quickly. You don’t need to know everything about roofing on day one, but you should have enough construction experience to recognize problems, make good field decisions, and know when something isn’t right. **What You’ll Own** * Manage roofing projects from post-sale handoff through completion, final payment, and customer review * Build and manage the production schedule across reroofs, repairs, and other active projects * Coordinate subcontractor crews, materials, deliveries, permits, inspections, and project timing * Visit active job sites regularly and inspect workmanship, installation details, and project progress to verify work meets Bumble Roofing standards and applicable requirements * Identify quality, installation, code, safety, cleanliness, or scope concerns and make sure they are addressed or escalated * Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners once a project enters production * Proactively communicate start dates, schedules, project progress, delays, change orders, and unexpected conditions * Identify and resolve material, scheduling, crew, access, or installation issues before they become bigger problems * Document job progress, photos, notes, change orders, and production details in company systems * Identify additional work or unforeseen conditions and make sure change orders are properly documented and approved * Track project costs and help protect gross margin by preventing avoidable waste, missed scope, and unapproved work * Coordinate punch-list items, callbacks, and warranty-related production issues * Perform final quality checks and homeowner walkthroughs * Collect final payment and ensure each project is properly closed out * Ask for and secure online reviews and referrals * Help increase production capacity as the company adds crews and grows **What Success Looks Like** * Jobs start when we say they will and finish on schedule * Crews have what they need before they arrive * Homeowners know what is happening without having to chase us * Problems are caught early and handled quickly * Change orders and additional work are captured instead of absorbed * Job sites are organized, safe, and left clean * Completed work meets Bumble Roofing quality standards * Final payments are collected promptly * Callbacks and avoidable production mistakes stay low * Customers finish the project confident in the work and willing to recommend us **What We’re Looking For** * 2+ years of construction project management, field supervision, production management, or similar field-based experience, including responsibility for project schedules, materials, customers, and field issues, required * Residential roofing experience strongly preferred and a major advantage * Experience working directly with subcontractors and construction crews strongly preferred * Smart, motivated, technically curious, and able to learn quickly * Strong ownership mentality: if something needs to get done, you make sure it gets done * Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple active projects at once * Strong communication skills in person, by phone, and by text * Comfortable working directly with homeowners and handling difficult conversations when necessary * Able to coordinate subcontractors and hold people accountable respectfully * Good judgment and the ability to make practical decisions in the field * Detail-oriented enough to catch small issues before they become expensive ones * Comfortable using software, mobile apps, photos, notes, and project-management systems * Willing to spend significant time in the field rather than behind a desk * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation **The Mindset** * “If something goes wrong, I own the solution.” * “I’d rather communicate early than explain later.” * “Details matter.” * “The job isn’t finished just because the crew left.” * “I treat the homeowner’s property and money like they matter.” * “I want more responsibility as I prove I can handle it.” **What We Offer** * Base salary plus performance-based compensation tied to production results * Paid time off * Professional development and hands-on roofing training * Company systems, processes, and support * Significant autonomy and ownership of day-to-day production * Direct access to company leadership and the ability to help shape how the production operation is built * A clear growth path as Bumble Roofing of Ventura County expands **About Bumble Roofing of Ventura County** Bumble Roofing of Ventura County is a locally owned roofing company serving homeowners throughout Ventura County.
