Why Rutkowski Law Firm? * We’re not your typical law firm — and we like it that way * We run on **EOS** and believe in **clarity, accountability, and teamwork** * **We invest in coaching, development, and leadership** * **We take care of our team like we take care of clients — with heart and intention** * **You’ll have the tools, systems, and support you need to thrive** **Compensation:** $60,000+ yearly **Responsibilities:** As a Paralegal or Legal Assistant on our Estate Planning team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting attorneys and delivering a top-tier client experience. This role requires precision, compassion, and a team-first mindset — because at Rutkowski Law, we succeed together. What You'll Be Doing As a core member of our estate planning team, you will: * Draft trusts, wills, powers of attorney, deeds, and other legal documents * Work closely with attorneys and team members to ensure accuracy and compliance * Support clients from start to finish — with empathy, clarity, and responsiveness * Track and manage workflows in our systems to keep cases on time and organized * Help ensure client trusts are properly funded (we don’t just hand over a binder) * Communicate proactively and help keep clients informed and confident **Qualifications:** * Prior experience in estate planning, elder law, probate, or a related legal field preferred (but not required) * Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work * Excellent written and verbal communication skills — clear, professional, and client-friendly * Proficient with legal document preparation and comfortable navigating technology * Organized and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines * A positive, team-oriented attitude — you’re someone who shows up ready to contribute * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Familiarity with legal documents, CRM systems, and digital tools (bonus points if you love systems) * Able to work independently while staying aligned with the team * Prior law firm experience is helpful but not required — we’ll train the right person! You Might Be a Great Fit If... * You’re a **Dynamic Chameleon with a Growth Mindset** – ready to learn, shift gears, and grow every day * You have an **Owner Mentality** – you care deeply about the quality of your work and the experience you deliver * You’re **Family Focused** – you understand why our work matters to the families we serve * You bring the **Disney Experience** – high standards, proactive communication, and genuine care * You **Don’t Act Like an Attorney** – you’re approachable, relatable, and easy to work with **About Company** We are a fast-growing, client-focused estate planning and elder law firm serving families across Michigan, and what truly sets us apart is how we treat people. Our mission is to give families peace of mind by making complex legal planning clear, personal, and actionable. We combine top-tier legal expertise with a **Disney-level client experience**—warm, approachable, and always centered on what’s best for the client. We operate on the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) and are guided by a strong set of core values: * Teamwork Makes the Dream Work * Dynamic Chameleon with a Growth Mindset * Owner Mentality * Family-Focused * Disney Experience * Don’t Act Like an Attorney We are a collaborative, values-driven, and growth-minded team that believes the legal industry can—and should—be done differently. If you’re someone who takes ownership, cares deeply about client experience, and wants to be part of a firm that is raising the standard of service in estate planning, you’ll thrive here.
