With a focus on personal service, attention to detail, and innovative problem\-solving, CSL has proudly partnered with major NYC agencies and developers. **Job Summary** We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Field Engineer to lead and execute complex civil infrastructure and highrise projects with precision and confidence. In this pivotal role, you will oversee construction activities, ensure technical excellence, and coordinate seamlessly with project teams, clients, and stakeholders. Join us to contribute your technical prowess and leadership skills to impactful projects that shape communities and advance engineering solutions. **Key Responsibilities** * Perform field special inspections required by **NYC BC Chapter 17** and related progress inspections under **BC 110\.3**, in accordance with approved documents and 1 RCNY §101\-06\. * Review shop drawings, material certifications, listings, and submittals before and during installation. * Identify non\-conforming work, issue findings, and verify corrective action before reinspection. * Prepare clear daily/periodic inspection reports. * Coordinate with the registered design professional of record, general contractor, owner as required. * Maintain inspection logs, photos, and project files consistent with SIA quality procedures. **Required Qualifications** * New York State **Professional Engineer (PE)** license in good standing. * Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline. * Demonstrated experience with **NYC Construction Codes**, especially Chapter 17 special inspections and Chapter 33 construction/demolition safety as applicable. * Ability to read and interpret approved architectural, structural, and MEP drawings, specifications, and listed assembly designs. * Strong field documentation, communication, and professional judgment. * Valid driver’s license and ability to travel among NYC job sites. * Ability to work at heights, in active construction environments, and in varying weather. **Preferred Qualifications** * Prior work for an NYC DOB–registered **Special Inspection Agency** (Class 1 or 2 preferred). * Familiarity with **DOB NOW**, TR1/TR8 filings, and 1 RCNY §101\-06 inspector/supervisor qualification tables. * ICC or equivalent certifications relevant to assigned disciplines (e.g., Structural Steel/Bolting/Welding, Reinforced Concrete, Masonry, Mechanical). * Experience with referenced standards such as AISC, ACI, TMS 402/602, AWS, ASTM, NFPA, NDS, AWCI 12\-B, ASTM E2174 / E2393\. Compensation and Benefits * Concrete solutions offers a competitive salary commensurate with position experience.
