### **Assignment Overview** * Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs * Hours: 36 hrs/wk * Start Date: Nov 16, 2026 * Length: 13 weeks * Openings: 1 ### **Description** American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a PCU position requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active OH or compact RN license. ### **Details** * Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting, also referred to as DOU/IMC/Stepdown * Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:30), 36 hours per week * Patient population includes telemetry, neurological/psychiatric, pre/post neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, and plastics cases * Float required within OSU system ### **Requirements** * Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration * BLS and ACLS certifications required * Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required * Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program * Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy and peripheral line care/management required * Experience with PCA, oxygen administration, nasal cannula, and isolation precautions/PPE required * Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required * Experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency response required * Experience managing feeding tubes and total joint replacement patients required * 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a manager/director or formal leadership role; charge RN acceptable for second reference; no coworker references accepted ### **Additional Information** * Provide direct patient care to a complex PCU population including cardiac, neuro, and post-surgical patients * First-time travelers are welcome to apply * RTO must be submitted with the contract and limited to 7 days or less * Local candidates are accepted at the same rate * Former employees eligible for travel assignment only after 6 months away from the facility * Current employees are ineligible to work as travelers at this facility * Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to strict compliance timelines
