Job detail ◄ Back 28 September Lead Mechanical Engineer Gr Engineering Services Limited \- Ascot, WA Engineering Source: ***uWorkin*** **Job Description** **Job Description** We are on the lookout for experienced Lead Mechancial Engineers to join our Engineering Team working alongside a multidisciplined team to deliver outstanding results across various projects in the mining and minerals industry Based out of our Ascot office you would work on various projects across Australia across a variety of commodities ( gold ,copper, iron ore etc) primarily in our Ascot office but there would be some site visits depending on project requirements **A Typical Day Will Consist Of** * Leading a project team to achieve design budgets and schedules including technical direction and co\-ordination * Assisting lead designers in the development of layouts and conceptual designs * Completing detailed mechanical engineering designs and calculations * Technical review of mechanical drawings and vendor documentation * Preparing and / or reviewing data sheets, scopes and tender evaluations for equipment procurement * Managing internal and client design reviews. Resolving outcomes and working in a client facing position * Ensuring design compliance with statutory regulations and company standards * Ensure designs are fit for purpose and consider all aspects, including, cost, constructability, operability, and maintainability * Supporting site construction activities remotely * Working with commissioning teams on site **About The Employer** Do you want to work for a company who provides the financial peace of mind of a major ASX\-listed company with the heart of a family business? GRES is an equal opportunity employer and believes that diversity, equity and inclusion deepens our depth of knowledge, capability and experience. **About The Candidate** * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, recognised by the Institute of Engineers Australia * Minimum of 10 years technical and practical experience in the design, construction and commissioning of mineral processing plants including detailed understanding of multi\-discipline design delivery * Knowledge and practical application of design theories, principles, and practices including sizing conveyors, pumps and other equipment typical in mineral processing * Able to provide input into conceptual layouts and designs through to detailed designs and drawings * Knowledge of current engineering design, standards and practice * High level of communication, written, planning and organisation skills * Proficient with typical engineering software, particularly excel, word, 3D viewing software * Experience in both wet \& dry plant * Hands on leader who comfortable leading a multiskilled project team * Strong communication/interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels * Current National Police clearance * White Card * Full and unrestricted Australian working rights **Work Environment** We value you and understand that life happens outside of work.
